Bensons is a family run business established in 1961. From our base in Normanton, West Yorkshire, the company provides commercial gas engineering services to clients across Yorkshire. We genuinely care about our staff and are committed to continually investing in their professional training so they can become the best in the business. We are always willing hear our employees’ voices too, whether that’s an idea, an issue we can resolve or a situation we can improve.

“Training is particularly important to Bensons. They offer staff training to improve performance and keep us updated on industry developments,” says administrator, Kath Page, who is based in the Normanton office. 

“They communicate what’s going on within the business through meetings several times a year. This could be a new project or how the company has performed over a specific period or sometimes to say thanks for our hard work.”  

Engineer, John Lloyd, has worked at Bensons for almost 32 years.  

“Every day is different as we work with many types of gas appliance in domestic, commercial and industrial premises. This keeps the job enjoyable and fresh and is especially rewarding when I get involved with the design, planning and installation of new appliances and heating systems. I am continually learning and developing as new technologies are introduced, improving my skill sets along the way.”  

The safety of our staff whilst working is our number one priority, that’s why we are IPAF-registered, SafeContractor approved and Gas Safe registered.
